The rain didn’t penetrate the ceiling and today the sun shone. The joiner came and we thrashed out a plan for the new stairs. It wasn’t clear what I could do for the stairs but I’ve abandoned the spiral idea and have gone for something a little twisted so we don’t have to encroach into the first floor living room too much. The roof is about 50% tiled now and the painters started on the external walls. Also ventilation was sorted out (lots of holes in walls) so there’s good air circulation for all rooms. Brian came and started work on some steps at the untidy end of ‘the beach’ and I broke a few rocks to feel like I was helping.
