Praia do Malhao (Malhao beach) 37.783417, -8.802071 Is just north of Villa Nova de Milfontes. This is our favourite beach. It never gets too crowded, and as it’s Atlantic coast so there’s usually a refreshing breeze and a swell so it’s perfect for surfing and a kite.
It’s not ideal for smaller children but there are lovely pooled sheltered areas around the rocks on the beach that are perfect for them.
