About to head out for a bite to eat somewhere. It’s been a good day. The roof is coming on well. We had to level the floor which sadly took about 10cm of headroom. but it is beginning to really take shape. We’re putting pine cladding between the beams before layering insulation, waterproofing and concrete before the final tiles. The bit that is the most challenging will be the staircase that we’re going to put in. There are so many ways to do it. I hope we can add character, keep space and keep the rooms cosy and airy so I just hope the carpenter is a kindred spirit and not someone prone to doom-laden teeth sucking. Tomorrow I’ll be rewiring the solar power system.
