Headed south with R&O to avoid a day of noisy builders. Started out at Abufeira now that the package holidaymakers have gone home. It’s a pretty little town with a lovely beach but it is sardine hell in the holiday season. We had an Indian curry for lunch. In the Alentejo there is little variety in what’s served up. Although the food is generally good it can get tedious. We were craving something different. After lunch went to Lagos, my favourite place on the south Algarve to nudge Martin, an old dive buddy who runs a dive centre in the marina. Then headed up to the fabulous Odeceixe and had a wonderful sunset meal at a great restaurant by the beach. Fab day.
